ABOUT

Michelle Yom Design Studio is a boutique knitwear design consultancy based in NYC led by founder Michelle Yom. With over 17 years of experience, Michelle has worked for illustrious luxury brands in NYC, such as Thakoon, Derek Lam Collection and 3.1 Phillip Lim before branching out on her own as a consultant in 2017.
Her passion is helping brands find their voice, strategizing how to grow the business and streamlining product development cycles. She loves creating long lasting relationships, and believes trust is a big part of the design process. She is devoted to sustainable and ethical supply chain management, and has experience helping brands source materials to further this mission.

Michelle is a born and raised New Yorker, and graduated from Parsons The New School for Design.

Michelle loves learning, and is always working on something new. She has an elementary Italian language certificate from Parliamo Italiano, and a certifcate in floral design from The Flower School in New York.
